Actually I do fear city/state’s being created that are outside of the laws and regulations that govern the United States.These city/states control who lives in them and how they will live there. Like any gated community that holds mostly white, rich people in the US, it creates unnecessary divides which lead to conflict.

Just think Game of Thrones and then you get it — the US broken up into city/states like Belmont. In my book the entire US is controlled and governed in this way by a plutocracy that consists of corporate families who have made their fortunes like Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk on the backs of others. That is the future I see once the effects of climate chage, pandemics, errant bio-tech and genetic manipulation have wiped out the uneducated rabble. Oh you can throw in easy access to military hardware and water and geo-engineering the weather as well. Welcome to the future.
