As always you are an entertaining and quite brilliant writer. I loved the introduction to your essay. So well done. I found myself laughing out loud!

I am increasingly of the opinion that we need the US to become the EU. I believe it's foolish for the blue states where the majority of us live, to abide by the rules of a conservative overly political Supreme Court. Or the rules of a gerrymandered Congeress. That is not democracy. That is rule by the Taliban or the Stasi.

I am now all for federations of blue states and federations of red states. To me it seems the only answer. Let the feds take care of national defense, environmental protection, cross state trade, and foreign policy. Oh and get rid of the Supreme Court immediately. They disgust me and in particular Kavanagh and Thomas.

In the meantime let the blue states increase their economies and stop sending hard earned taxes to the red states, where the majority of the morons you describe so well live.

My message to Democrats in Texas is get rid of your Republican government or plan on moving out of state. I wouldn't live there if you paid me. The same applies to Florida and the Dakotas etc. etc. There are jobs in the west and north, and we welcome all of you Democrats and independents up here. You should join us in the lands of the sane, the brave and the free.
