Excellent. I'm afraid something even darker behind this. We are the hunger games for something which wants this planet and wants humans to give it up. A much more sophisticated influence than we can possibly imagine.

While the oligarchs will succeed as in Brave New World and 1984, without our conscious awareness of who and what is manipulating us, they'll eventually go the same way as the rest of us. It's time for humanity to see and understand the larger threat and to unite as a species against it. Neo-liberalism and fachism just one of its many changing faces.

The question for me is what condition do they want this planet left in. Will it be habitable or a climate and nuclear wasteland that doesn't support the kind of biological life we represent? If they want it warmer but habitable it'll be COVID type epidemics.

I think nuclear wasteland is out, but warmer more tropical environment with easy access to deep sea mining and other resources we have here. Why waste time and energy fighting us for it when we'll do the job for them, as evidenced by this video?

This is what some in our governments know and what they are keeping from us. We are on the road to species extinction. Our competitors are far more technologically, mentally and scientifically advanced than us.

George Monbiot is right and so are you, this battle must be fought by all of us who believe in humanity, and it will be in the trenches of our material world.

On the other hand species come and go in a Universe which is billions of years old, and perhaps our time really has come.
