Excellent. I know few Republicans because my line of work was almost exclusively in the non profit sector. Most people drawn to working there, with it's lower pay scales and focus on social equity, are progressives (not liberals - many Republicans are in fact liberals or libertarians).

As a result however of living, during the winter, in a very mixed community I do meet Republicans. Most of them are quite rich, however there are a few who are not, and are barely hanging onto what they have. The tourist season has been decimated here because of COVID and the fact that very few of the local population will get vaccinated. Despite their poverty they are completely hooked into the internet and the lies and myths it is spreading about vaccinations.

I learned with great surprise from one of these people, who is an avid Trump supporter and Foxate that his father had died from COVID. He told me this in a very matter of fact tone of voice after repeating he thought Trump might have been the greatest President that ever lived.

If that isn't case closed on your argument, I don't know what is!
