Excellent article. One thing that could be done right now is limiting the use of electricity and also gasoline at the local and federal level. Also a concentration on bringing back local farmland with an investment in locally grown food and preserving local water sources.

It would also include not allowing local water to go elsewhere. That would include not allowing bottled water companies to come in and take water from reservoirs and rivers. Something which happened recently in Ct. This might slow down things in the US so that states and cities can come up with alternate energy solutions.

It would not of course address worldwide sea level rise. Nor would it address greed and human corruption which would work to the benefit of those with money and influence.
