Excellent summary. You forgot to mention patriarchy and religion as the other two massive blots on our species. Until both are removed along with the concept of nation states we are doomed to failure as a species.

Even though I believe that our species is headed for extinction, I still write science fiction books that are full of hope.

However in them nation states are less powerful because of climate change. Religion is a private matter and put within the context of a galactic civilization which has put the exploration of purpose, within a metaphysical context.

As for patriarchy it's been been banished, sexual orientation or sexual definition is ambiguous and has no relevance. In addition human men are about to be re-designed.
