Hi Tim — yes Bohm is amazing. I just discovered Don Hoffman — He believes our perceptions are not windows on truth but are more like the windows interface of a PC. In his words icons on the desktop of a PC allow us to use the computer without being distracted by irrelevant details about its internal structure and operation. Similarly, our perceptions allow us to act adaptively in the world while being ignorant of its true structure.
Further he says “Something continues to exist but it is not in space and time. As members of one species we share an interface which varies a bit from person to person. We all construct similar icons because we all have similar needs and similar methods for acquiring payoffs. ……If selection guides perceptions then perceptions guide useful behaviors rather than report objective truths about an independent world.”
It seems to me that some of the Phenomenum, which has changed over the last 200 years from airships to UFO’s according to John Keel’s research, are definitely operating outside of our spacetime continuum. These differently structured intelligences, from who knows where, are running circles around us.
““The real UFO story must encompass all of the many manifestations being observed. It is a story of ghosts and phantoms and strange mental aberrations; of an invisible world that surrounds us and occasionally engulfs us; of prophets and prophecies, and gods and demons. It is a world of illusion and hallucination where the unreal seems very real, and where reality itself is distorted by strange forces which can seemingly manipulate space, time, and physical matter — forces that are almost entirely beyond our powers of comprehension.” Keel’s book Operation Trojan Horse.
What a puzzle it all is!
