How about This Dark Matter by Blake Crouch. Absolutely magnificent. And of course Stanislav Lem's Solaris (not the movie version). I'm also enjoy Pullman's series on HBO based on The Golden Compass series. Wonderful way to introduce teens to the idea of parallel universes.
