I believe that throughout history where there is the semblance of a democracy, the minority generally cannot rule the majority. The Republican Party represent the views of the minority of Americans. They will be forced to adopt positions that reflect the majority such as pro a woman's right to choose what she does with her body, pro obamacare, pro protecting voting rights, pro equal rights.
