I believe we are now in William Golding’s book Lord of the Flies. This book capably demonstrates what happens when human nature takes over and social contracts are gone or completely eroded. The book portrays a group of boys (what we now have in the White House and Senate) descent into savagery. Unfortunately there is no kind naval officer at the end to save us.
