I found this interesting because I think many of the homicides are suicidal. That is shoot people and then shoot myself, but if I’m going to do that then take out as many others as I can with me. How do you account for this kind of behavior and mass culture?

Also this does not address the fact that despite all of this information which is by itself fascinating, we do not need automatic weapons and we do need gun ownership checks. If we do this then the homicides become more homicidal since the numbers of people killed by suicidal, vindictive, white males goes down proportionately.

Perhaps people in the blue states are suicidal because their culture is currently dominated by laws put into place by the red states. Hypothetical I know but interesting. Perhaps homicides in the black community are the result of poverty and hopelessness — again instigated by a Senate which makes discriminatory policy and where red states dominate but blue states represent 40 million more Americans who live in the blue states. This in itself engenders a kind of hopelessness among many and might lead to suicidal thoughts.

This is information is great only when applied to a much larger cultural and political canvas!
