For thousands of years we've been animals that are drawn towards feudal systems when things get bad. We give up our ideals and longer range aspirations for a cheap bottle of milk and lower interest rates, and never see the long term effects and reality of a brutal trickle down economy. One that has been foisted on us worldwide for centuries by those who are greedy and take it all.
We humans are also often vengeful and mean spirited cutting off our own noses to spite our faces. But we are also capable of amazing acts of courage and compassion.
This isn't the place or time to hope for justice or equality. It is the place however where we test our metal as we fight for it, despite overwhelming odds.
