I would quantify what you've said. In blue states abortion remains as it is stated in Roe vs Wade. I hope this ruling will be an incentive for all women to vote for governors and legislative bodies which will never ban abortion. Secondly poor women are the ones who will suffer in red states. Well educated middle class women will always have access to opportunities and abortion unless and if it is completely banned by the Supreme Court. Poor men, women and children continue to suffer worldwide - though in America given the news one would never know it - its a disgrace. I watch the BBC every night and I am made aware of famines, drowning immigrants, starving animals and children etc.
The Supreme Court has no legitimacy any more. Once it handed the election to George Bush it lost every piece of credibility it ever had. It is a political body which has moved far right. We need to get rid of it but we never will. Our hope lies in strong blue states and working on states like Texas to turn them blue. The far right or minority government will never loose its grip on the power of the Federal government . The only solution is to move to a blue state and make sure your daughters and granddaughters grow up there like I did.
The idea of a United States is ridiculous and old fashioned. It isn't working, it can't work and it never will work. A grand experiment that is crumbling and which never had the best interests of men who were not white in mind. It has been founded on inequality, genocide and slavery and I laugh when I see people put their hands over their hearts and sing the national anthem. It's all a big sham, a myth and a lie. However I will give it full marks for saving Europe and the world from Hitler. Those days are long gone.
My advice to poor men and women is make sure you live in a state that supports Roe vs. Wade, proper gun laws and provides health care services to women, as well as child care and other benefits. Do whatever it takes to move to one - Connecticut, California, Oregon, Washington, New York for starters! Avoid Florida at all costs its a skull and bones kind of place - a graveyard for the sane and the poor.
