Let me make a case for why you should vote for Democrats. I absolutely agree with you that the decisions around COVID by them are a political calculation. They are not right. However the alternative is worse. We are now being force to make choices between not so good, bad, horrible and disastrous. At this point one has to make a chart and put columns and then add them up deciding which issues are important to you before you vote. For me racial justice is a huge one as well as mitigating climate change. The Democrats are well ahead in these two areas.

I am currently in a small Caribbean country of about 120,000 people. It is a country where 90% of people are of African and Caribe descent. We are as I say all colors of the rainbow.

I was in town yesterday and surrounded by throngs of people and entrepreneurs manning their small stalls. Everyone of the street and in the stores was masked. Everyone on the ferry going over to the main island was masked. At the doors to every single store someone spritzed your hands with sanitizer. If you weren't wearing a mask you were politely asked to put one on.

I am currently claiming my nationality here - mother born here. Poor and small as this country it sets a major example for the rest of the world.
