I recently read this on Medium which I thought was quite brilliant. It outlines the history of neoliberalism very well.
I would hardly call liberals facists. Fascists are against democracy. They work for a totalitarian one-party state. This aim is to prepare the nation for armed conflict, and to respond to economic difficulties. Fascism puts nation and often race above the individual.
I think however that facists might currently describe many of the Senatorial and House members of the Republican Party however.

Your generation is the one which will suffer most from what these cold hearted fascists are currently causing to our environment and our climate. To be honest I’ll most likely be dead in fifteen or so years, but my children and grandchildren and you won’t, and that’s why I’ll NEVER stop beating this drum.
