Look we can argue the merits of capitalism vs. socialism till we are blue in the face. There is one question and one question only that we need to be asking ourselves, and that is: “how does capitalism crack climate change and is it willing to fundamentally re-evalute our relationship to ownership, work and capital in order to do so?” We are running down the clock arguing with each other about the economic systems that currently exist.

The latest policy paper coming out of Australia suggests that by 2050 we will have so damaged global climate systems we will be on an irreversible path to the end of civilization. So let’s stop rehashing and come up with an innovative, creative economic policy that can successfully address and avert this problem. That’s the only thing I’m interested in right now.
