Thank you for writing such an eloquent piece. I don't want to be darker than you but I have a prediction. We are all frogs in a pot. With Trump the effects of climate change will come a lot faster and a lot harder. With Harris slower and less severe. With Harris we might get a chance to not boil ourselves alive. It won't be easy times but we can at least slow the burn to only 2.5 celsius above current temperatures.

With Trump we'll be at least 3 celsius hotter than we are now and get there a lot faster than we thought. Him and his robber barons of chaos will ensure that humanity x's itself out and that will also include them and their progeny.

It's a mess and like lemmings, many humans seem to have a gene that allows us to merrily skip along behind the pied piper of disaster over the cliff, and onto the rocks waiting below.
