Thanks AS - beautifully written and conceived and much needed. We are in a mess down here and any advanced civilization will recognize that.

According to most alien abductees some of the aliens are trying to let us know in what bad shape we are in. That we are heading at the speed of light towards destroying our planet through the effects of climate change.

They are also showing us they can disarm our nuclear weapons. Any further action by them to stop us would have to amount to colonization. It would break the prime directive!

The one percent who control our planet will never let our species thrive. In order to break their hold a very advanced civilization, which had learned how to put the common good ahead of individualism, would have to take over. Unlike bees in their hive we don't know how to work or think together. That is our biggest hurdle, and I can see no way around it, other than mind control. Something some of them do very well.

Now say their are a number of them and they all have different intentions, morals and beliefs regarding the future of humanity. How would this dilemma be solved without violent confrontation, which unlike us they've probably long since dispensed with. Perhaps there is one common thread they can all agree to - give us some hints, show themselves to us and their absolute power over us, but let our civilization alone to make or break itself.

For instance we've even got Congressional oversight and an overt government department in play now, which admits they are here, but doesn't REALLY know who or what they are and what they want. They've some ideas but they know these aliens aren't a homogenous group so this makes it difficult to negotiate or understand them.
