The Ukranians will have to mount a French Resistance since Putin is now mounting a Vichy-style government in Ukraine.
Eventually all of us in the world who want progressive (note not liberal, not socialist, not communist) ideas to balance out the warmongering , testosterone-driven, patriarchal, conservative ones, like those in evidence in Putin and his elite Russian cronies. The list of these men however is endless and to them it's all about wealth preservation and personal power.
Although there are no bombs and guns yet in evidence here, make no mistake we in America are also under assault and in danger of having a Vichy/Republican government in charge. That means minority government by a politicized Supreme Court and a gerrymandered voting system. We Americans always, just like the Nazis before us, however love the thin veneer of our corrupt legalities to make us feel righteous. At least Putin is a thug, has always been a thug and looks like one. Neil Gorsuch and Clarence Thomas however wear the robes of Supreme Court justices.
Also lets get off oil and gas shall we? Isn't now the time to say screw it and change course to different power sources? Enough is enough. Go Bill McGibben you've said it all fella!
