This article is excellent. Human knowledge of physics, genetic biology and artificial intelligence are advancing at a rapid pace. At the present time there is what I might call a breakaway civilization occurring. We already know for a fact the Universe we live in is huge, and that there is without doubt other inhabited planets. For the biblical crowd Ideas like quantum teleportation, higgs boson, alcubierre drive, black holes, holographic universe, wormholes, Einstein Rosen Bridges, bio-engineering, cloning, genetic manipulation of DNA allowing us to create life ourselves will be seen as demonic.

On a more prosaic level the South will not be able to beat the effects of climate change. I'm afraid Southern states are going to get walloped with drought, tornadoes, rising oceans, hurricanes and many other natural disasters. All in line of course with their biblical ideas around the end of times. The question here is is does consciousness create its own observable reality!
