This was a very thoughtful piece. Thank you. In my retirement I've been researching in many fields that include science, philosophy, multiple religious mythologies, the occult, psychic and unknown phenomenum, and ufology. This has led me to write a series of novels.
Take it from me noone has proof of who and what we are. Whether or not there is a god or unifying force out there. Nor do most of us at present know how many biological and other species exist in our universe, or in all the others, parallel and multi, that are probably out there. Nor does anyone know as yet how these other worlds work or what their relevance and meaning to us is.
The profound mathematical and quantum mysteries that govern our physical world are at the present time in our human development beyond our understanding, and most probably have no particular single locus.
I have found the most profound word we humans know is love in all its complex meanings. I also believe the only meaningful religious doctrine out there is "do unto others as you would do unto yourself."
For humans to step out of the world of belief in gods and into the world of the unknown and high strangeness is bold. However if we are to evolve as a species I think we have to open ourselves up to the idea that we do not and cannot possibly know what forces govern our universe. For many this is a frightening and chaotic thought, but one for me that is so full of remarkable possibilities.
