Unfortunately we are absolutely not morally or ethically able as humans to be involved in the creation of chimeras. If you look to legends then you'll realize this has been done in the past by a group of beings who are more advanced than us scientifically. We know nothing about their morals, ethics or beliefs. Look to the skies we know they're now back in force and flying about out there. I believe they know we're about to wipe ourselves out and make our planet virtually uninhabitable in the short term (a few million years), through our inability to stop using fossil fuels.

Our current understanding of genetic modification has put us in great trouble as seen through the creation of a gain of function virus - COVID 19. Until we devise a political and economic system that works for us as a planet and as a human species, we will never be in a position to handle any kind of advanced scientific research. This is something our visitors know because they've been through these primitive stages of scientific development and survived as a cohesive species.

Do they fight with each other - probably. But at least they know how to hang together like bees in a hive, survive their differences with their own kin, and manage their philosophical, scientific and other affairs to the greater benefit of all on their planet.

We are children and have absolutely no idea how to do that - think Putin, Xi, Bolsanero, Erdogan, Johnson, etc. Will they ever come to the table and agree to make a better world for our human children? Do you think China will ever admit to carrying out gain of function research when it was against the law, and they created one of the greatest genetic disasters humanity has faced?

Imagine if they now start creating half human hybrids, soldiers that feel no pain and so on and so on. As Peter Paul and Mary said when will they ever learn, when will they ever learn. Maybe never and we will be one of the planetary species Fermi has surmised will wipe itself out.
