You are right Biden won't save America. We have to save America. We desperately need a Rooseveltian style leader to do so. I believe Biden is that. Most critically he is a team player and together with a strong team which will include progressives such as OAC, Sanders and Warren and politicians like Pelosi, Obama and others more moderate in their views, will come up with policies geared towards the majority of voters who live in this country.

Their most important first step will be to immediately return us to pre Trump environmental policy days and then some, including a set of ambitious green goals. Other steps will be to pack the Supreme Court to equal out the Merrick Garland fiasco. In addition appoint fair-minded judges who are not ruled by federalist idealogies, idealogies which need to be pushed far to the past (the white founding fathers who wrote them do not represent the majority of inhabitants of this country) and are a brutal vestige of anachronistic religions and white male patriarchy.

Further steps will be to restore voting rights immediately, declare the first Tuesday in November a national holiday and facilitate the majority voting by making it easier for everyone to get to the polls and vote. Develop civics curriculum for every school which will explain the importance of participation in government. Put together a commission to examine the feasibility of retaining the electoral college and whether or not it is representative of the majority of people who live in this country (clearly it is not). Uphold States rights - if you don't like where you live move North or West or get rid of governors and representative who have proved during COVID they love the economy more than the people who live in their state. Oh and once the Democrats hold the Senate get rid of the filibuster.

I am saying it is up to us to save our own country. If we care about saving it then we have no choice but to vote for Biden in November. Four more years of Trump will be unrecoverable. And no it's impossible after we've heard the voices of OAC, Sanders, Lewis and Warren for Biden to go back to politics as usual.
