You forget the Senate and the House are critical to American governance. We must change the Senate and we must continue to advance policies that consider climate change and human rights as priorities. I find putting labels on things does not help explain complexity. Lumping Americans together reduces us to generalities. The specifics in America regarding politics and policy are that the Senate must change and this one fact maybe even more important than who occupies the Presidency.

As for the Supreme Court its clear political bias needs to be immediately addressed by any Democratic administration as well. America has a complicated, very intricate system of governance. Bernie has raised the flag on social democracy and it will continue to fly. I truly believe because of him and his supporters we’ll move incrementally in that direction.

However the cruel fact is that climate change events and pandemics will overtake us all — that is something we cannot stop only prepare as best we can for and mitigate.
