You haven't mentioned corporate America in your article. I am wondering on which side capitalism will fall? For Walmart, Home Depot, MacDonalds, big pharma and others to thrive, and protect a strong consumer market , America cannot have the conditions you're describing. So far they've been mainly silent playing both sides of the fence.
The US military will be concerned about national security and China and Russia. They will be most concerned about how a breakdown of this kind will affect our international security.
Highly likely that there will be an alliance between both of these factions. They'll come up with a plan and execute it behind the scenes. I'm surprised that they aren't meeting and figuring something out right now, because the pot is coming to a boil just as you describe.
China has figured some of this out and that's why its a strong country. However climate change and food security will change that as it starts to hit the world. Plus despite everything which seems to the contrary, they rely on America remaining strong as a trading partner.
The question is who do the military, China, Silicon Valley and the corporate community want running this country and, like Xi and Putin, how will they get that to happen? I can assure you it won't be overt or legal.
