You’re right — but I don’t think it’s a big cover-up. If you think about it if the governments know a bit about it but not a lot and can’t make sense of it then how is it explained to us? Clearly we are being visited by something we don’t know anything about, clearly it has better technology than us, clearly it’s not interested in negotiating much or interracting much. Many questions without answers. I suggest you watch the movie The Phenomenon. It’s the start of a conversation at least! This article is definitely speculative but the physics is there to support at least the concept of space/time warp and potential UAP or UFO travel from elsewhere.
